I began college with the story of my father’s hat.  When they said “tell us something about yourself” I told them my father had burnt his hat.  When I stood in line to get my ID picture taken, I told people he had bought the hat at Olivera Street and was trying to steralize it in the mircowave.  When the dean said “hello, and how are you?” I said I was disappointed that Pomona didn’t sell patches, to put over the hole my father had made in his new, yellow, hat.  It was a damn good story and it made me many friends.

Pomona is over.  That story, and the others that came from California, are contained.  However, the stories go on into the future, and there’s a whole new ID line, new deans to chat to, and new friends to capture.  Because of this there is a new weblog.  It can be found at

http://bootsandlibraries.wordpress.com

and also can be found on the link on this weblog.  It will detail my experiences as a graduate student in London, as I become a documented Jew, a library expert, and all sorts of new cool.  It will also show how it is to be a cowboy in Europe.  It should be fun.
